Planet of Rabbits shows random scenarios played by children dressed up in bunny costumes.
I have been fascinated by everyday performances of children, which are sometime considered inappropriate or shocking by grown-ups. I observe infant behavior and body language to search for the psychological intent. Then I compare it with own recollections of fantasies, fairy-tales and social issues. And I create narratives and images that predict an inner landscape of children where it is possible for us to escape to a new childhood.
The term “rabbit” implies a fantasy world of anthropomorphic escapism. It represents a symbolic character to convey and suggest alternative relationships between children and grown-ups.
